Cruise Port Skagen

Port of Skagen is Denmark’s northernmost cruise port. Ideally located en route between the Norwegian fiords and the Baltic destinations - at the very top of Denmark and actually of the European continent.

The port located on the south coast and close to the centre of Skagen.

Port of Skagen offers three cruise piers. One of 500m giving an LOA of 400m and water depth of 12m and one of 190m giving an LOA of 220m and water depth of 9m. Port entrance of 200m. Welcome facilities at both cruise piers holding information and guidance, lounge, restrooms, showroom, souvenir shop and FREE WIFI.
From 2021 Port of Skagen offers a third, secondary cruise pier – Length 295 m with a max. LOA of 300 m and water depth of 13m.

The distance from the cruise piers to the pedestrian precinct and the bustling marina area with exclusive shopping facilities and first class dining options is 1600 yards.

Port of Skagen is a member of the local cruise network - Cruise Skagen Denmark, along with the Municipality of Frederikshavn, Skagen Tourist Bureau, Skagen Trade Association, Skagen's Art Museums, Nordjyllands Kystmuseum, Skagen Odde Naturcenter, Saga Shipping Skagen, several retail shops, restaurants, galleries and transport opertors. The network formed in 1999 aims at attracting cruise business to the Skagen area.

Since 1999, Cruise Skagen Denmark and Port of Skagen have been marketing Skagen as a cruise destination at international fairs in Europe and the US and have established a considerable network among the decision makers of this industry – nationally and internationally. The Cruise Skagen Denmark network also represents a valuable signal to the decision makers that both port and town is behind the wish to attract cruise tourism.

Furthermore, Port of Skagen is a member of the national Cruise Copenhagen Network, the European cruise association Cruise Europe counting more than 100 ports and destinations members, Cruise Baltic an association of 27 cruise ports in the Baltic Sea area and since 2015 Port of Skagen has been a Diamond member of CLIA.
