Industrial Fish

Annually approx. 380,000 tons of fresh fish are turned into approx. 80,000 tons of fish meal and 35,000 tons of fish oil, which is exported to more than 60 countries.

Industrial Fish

Large amounts of fish for production of fish meal and fish oil are landed at the port of Skagen. The business area is strategically important and of utmost importance to the port. This is why the infrastructure around the industrial fishery is optimized continously, so that the large fishing vessels have the possibility to enter the port and unload their catches safe and quick.

FF Skagen A/S, which is among the world's largest producers of fish meal and fish oil has placed their factory directly at the pier at the port of Skagen. Their large and modern processing plant is always prepared to receive fresh fish from more than 50 Danish and foreign suppliers and from the filet industry.
